Giftedness
Needs
Gifted children need to support when completing tasks directly and indirectly. They may become frustrated easily and may do a sloppy job on their work. Their emotional needs need to be met. The educator needs to make these children a part of the classroom yet celebrate their uniqueness. Support in building friendships are needed, the teacher can then provide opportunities for this to take place. As well students may easily become bored with tasks, so when planning include their interests.
