Accommodations

• Present a small amount of work at a time, do not overload student with multi tasks
• Clarify or simply written directions and instructions when work is being introduced or a new topic
• Block out extra noise and distractions
• Highlight essential information in agendas and calendars as reminders
• Designate an area where extra help materials are kept. Therefore if students needs support with something they can independently assist themselves
• Print key words on black board so student can recall prior knowledge discussed in class
• Collaborate verbal and visual information through manipulatives and allow student to repeat back their learning of topic
• Do daily review of work completed and what is due the following day
